Hi, Simon Says Stamp fans and my dear blog friends, welcome to our STAMPtember® blog hop. This week we have a special treat for you to celebrate our month-long stamp party during September!

Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. During the past 11 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a STAMPtember® event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media, life documenting, art journaling, and many forms of altering and expressing art.

This week, our design team members and Shari Carroll have created many fabulous projects for you using Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Art Journal Kit by Shari Carroll. Included in the kit are the following:

As a STAMPtember® bonus, if you purchase the kit in September, you will receive 2 random cling rubber stamps from Indigoblu. Please check the video for more information about this kit.

It was so exciting to receive this kit because all the elements in the box were awesome. I love those beautiful colors of acrylic paints especially that teal color is my favorite. As you can see lots of my creations used this gorgeous color.

I created a double journal page using this Ranger Small Creative Journal in the kit. It has a very sturdy cover and many pages of good quality paper inside. There are also some Simon Says Stamp exclusive products used on these pages such as those lovely butterfly die cuts and the leaf border. To start this project, I covered the pages with Gesso and colored the background with water mixed acrylic paint in teal color.

It's so fun to make this busy and lively background using stamps with chalk ink, and stencil with acrylic paint. I used the stencil to trace "&" on the old dictionary paper and cut it out to make the sentiment - "Keep Calm & Stamp On".

I love the gorgeous butterflies and leaf border so I attached them on the page. The modeling paste on the background and the Prima flowers added such a beautiful texture and accent on this page. Love the beautiful color of altered orange acrylic paint in this kit too, so I applied it on the flower to make it stand out.

I've enjoyed creating with the great collection in this art journaling kit and the awesome exclusive products from Simon Says Stamp. Please be sure to try these fun techniques and products when you get a chance.
