Hi, blog friends, let's have some fun playing the new Simon Says Stamp Monday
Challenge. This week we are going to use some die cuts. Whether you use a
die cutting machine, paper punch, pre-made die-cut shapes or stickers, please
just join us for the fun.
I love to collect journals and this Tim Holtz District Market Journal is one
of my favorites. Since I have three journals with similar patterns, I decide
to alter one of them to a shabby chic style with some die cuts and flowers.
The die cuts were colored with Distress Stain. I inked the edges of them
with ColorBox ink in black to make the vintage look.
The front of this journal was corvered with Faber-Castell Gesso and sprayed
After I got these sprayed colors beautifully blended and dried, I glued the
die cuts (using Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Weathered Clock Bigz Alterations
and some embellishments on the cover.
Now, it turned out a gorgeous shabby Chic journal.
