Happy WOYWW, everyone. During the Labor Day long weekend, I managed to create some layouts using some scraps and leftover supplies while kids were helping to organize my craft room. I was so happy playing with them and see their creation since I've been hoarding some stuff and it's time for kids to play with them and make some albums/ journals for our summer trips.
These are stuff currently on my desk and I just finished these five simple layouts with final touches. Some pictures were used before as they were printed with two copies. I just picked the photos and combined with some cute patterned papers and embellishmenets. Here is the first layout - Christopher loved his new hair cut.

If you are here for my Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge design team sample, I'll have a tutorial on Wednesday on Simon's blog for you. Please be sure to come back to check the fun techniques that I use Faber-Castell products to create a beautiful mixed media project. For now, I'd like to share some simple cards that I made today. Each card only took few minutes but I had a lot of fun to create them because the only thing I do is - - Cut and Paste. All these beautiful papers are from American Crafts Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic collection and Lucky Cham collection. The sentiments are from K&Co. Vellum Sticker Pad.

Hey, my dear blog friends, hope you all had a great summer. I just came back from Alaska
last night and I am so glad I was there when Dallas almost hit 100 degrees. I've already
missed the cool weather and those glaciers in Alaska.
This week, at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we are having a dotty challenge
-- From polka dots to spotted papers or embossed dot cardstock, we invite you to get
dotty with us.

I've been enjoying playing with beads and wires, so this week I decided to alter a
photo frame that I don't use anymore to a tray for my bead collection and accessories.

Hello, today I'd like to share a wall decor that I made for my daughter Natalie using her sea shell collection she got on our summer vacation at Atlantic City. This is also my last tutorial for Faber-Castell as a guest designer, I hope you enjoy my tutorial as much as I enjoy creating it. To start the project, cover the 6.5" X 9" wood panel with a layer of Gesso then use Palette Knife to spread the modeling paste around the edges. Mix Gelatos with water in a small container. Paint the Gelatos color mixture around the edges using brush pen. This beautiful color really reminds me of the wonderful beaches on our vacation. Apply the Gelatos directly on the edges of the wood panel then use a wet brush to highlight the edges.

Hey, Faber-Castell and Penny Black fans, today we are having something fun here. I'd like to share a project featuring my favorite products from Faber-Castell - Gelatos, Water Color Pencils and Stamper's Big Brush Pens. The super cute girl image I used is from
Penny Black. Here is my mixed media postcard and some quick steps to show you how I made this project.
First, crumple a piece of tissue paper that is slightly larger than 4"X 6" then cover the 4" X 6" water color paper with the tissue paper using Gel Medium. Let it wrinkle to show the texture then apply a thin layer of Gesso on the background. Dry it with a heat tool.
Scribble various colors on the background with Gelatos and use wet pen brush to spread the colors. Wash your pen brush before you work on different colors. Dry the background with a heat tool.
Lightly rub the background with different colors of Gelatos. This will pick out all the wrinkles and creases. Use blending tool to blend the Gelatos into the background.
Color the stamped image with Aquarell?? Color Pencils.
Cut out the image and use PITT artist pen to color the edge.
Paste the image on the background using Gel Medium then cover the image and background with Glaze to protect the surface and make the glossy appearance.
Paste the stickers on the image and background after it is dry.
Please try these fun techniques and use these great products from Faber-Castell and Penny Black when you get a chance.
For more inspiration, please hop over
Alexandra and
AJ's blogs if you haven't done so.
Be sure to check
Penny Black and
Faber-Castell blogs and leave a comment for a chance to win 3 beautiful stamps and a $50.00 mystery prize pack.

Hello, so happy to have you back here. We have a great theme at
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week -
Carnival - you may play with the idea of festivals, street parties, bright colors or masks. I was inspired by the beautiful colors and feathers of the carnival theme and made this wall decor.
I love this week's fun carnival theme because when I saw it I thought of the wooden cradle board, craft feathers and paper mache dress form in my craft room right away. They are just perfect for this theme.
To make this project, I first covered the cradle board with
Gesso and
Ranger Dabber, glued
Tim Holtz Gadget Gears die cuts and flowers on the background then sprayed the background and those embellishments with
Dylusions ink spray. The whole background also was covered with glitter. In fact, I just played with various colors and medium as long as they are carnival theme related.
The paper mache dress form was colored with
Ranger Dabber in gold and dressed up with
Prima flowers,
Dear Lizzy ribbons and feathers. I then stacked and glued some
Tim Holtz Shabby Accoutrements Buttons as the base and attached the "carnival girl" on the board.

Here are some close up photos for the details. The bright colors and glittered embellishments are absolutely wonderful for this carnival project.

Hi, blog friends, I'd like to share a fun project I made for Faber-Castell.
It's so fun even kids will love to do it. To start this project, I drew some random images on a piece of printing paper (size 5" X 3.25") using Gelatos, Stamper's Big Brush Pens and mixed media tools. If you are interested in how I doodled please click on my previous tutorial Altered Canvas Clock or Doodling with Gelatos.

Hey, WOYWWers, hope you all enjoy your week so far. I've been so busy and happy playing with kids for the whole summer so that I didn't have much time to create. My work desk currently, as usual, is full of my favorite coloring stuff. Finally got some time to play some coloring and work on my design team
projects today.
